The strategy of "considering the Muslim
sensitivities" has not worked. Terrorist activities have
exploded in the last few years. Islamist extremist are feeling
emboldened to the point that world wide jihad is no longer a far
fetched dream but a reality. They consider the West, and
especially the Europeans, weaklings who do not represent any
kind of threat to them. Moreover the Europeans can be used as a
political propaganda tool to isolate the only country that is
willing to fight the terrorists, the U.S.
The EU politicians believe that Hezbollah is a
grass roots organization that represents a substantial segment
of Lebanese population. After all they build the hospitals and
schools for the poor Shiites in Southern Lebanon. We know now
that such generosity has a price tag on it. During the
hostilities with Israel those same poor people are used as human shields while the Hezbollah terrorists can shoot
their rockets at their Zionist enemy.
Let's consider what would happen if Hezbollah was
universally recognized to be the vicious terrorists that they
are. It would put more pressure on Iran and Syria not to be so
open in their support for their Lebanese puppet. The side effect
may also be more power and credibility given to the
democratically elected government of Fuad Seniora. And then,
maybe, the Lebanese government will do what normal
governments are supposed to do, which is to take control of
their country.
But that kind of thinking requires a spine that
the EU currently does not have. What do we see instead coming out of
the European capitals? We see pictures of president of Spain Jose
Louis Zapatero sporting a Palestinian scarf called kafieh. The
only thing missing for a complete picture is Yasser Arafat
standing next to him. Then on July 31st the French Foreign
Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said the following; "Iran is the
significant, respected player in the Middle East which is
playing a stabilizing role". Only two days later Mahmoud
Ahmedinijad called for "elimination of Zionist regime" making
the French Foreign Minister look like a fool.
History repeats itself all the time but
unfortunately people refuse to learn from it. Prior to World War
II many European politicians tried to appease the Germans
without much success. The sensitivity did not work as German
tanks rolled into Poland and Czechoslovakia starting the war
that took untold millions of lives. Their sensibility is not
going to work with Hezbollah and their masters ether. What makes
anybody think that the Islamic fascists will be more reasonable
then their Nazi predecessors when they are openly talking about
world domination? Incidentally the Nazis also started with the Jews
before they went after the rest of the world.
Whether Europeans want to believe it or not,
Israel, which they enjoy hating so much, is the last outpost
between the Islamists and their march on Europe which by the way
has already began. I would strongly suggest to the EU politicians
to hit the history books and study hard. In those books they will
find all the answers they need. Unfortunately these are answers
they do not wish to hear.
